Good gardens begin with a DESIGN providing a framework for bringing order and beauty to the whole. Beauty is harmony of all parts.

I currently live in Rhode Island but am available for online consultations.

Give back to the world with a healthy landscape. Plant for foliage, fruit, bloom, color, winter interest and diversity.

The making of a garden serves an aesthetic as well as a functional and ecological purpose. Beyond connecting us with our environment it has a profound positive impact on the world.

Diversity is key to a healthy ecosystem encouraging

  • nutrient-rich soil

  • efficient use of water

  • plantings for insects, pollinators, birds and wildlife

A garden designed well creates a place of beauty with a sensitivity to the land; a sensory aspect invariably simple and ultimately unique.

A plan is used to organize and strengthen the link between home and garden utilizing

  • site planning - accounting for clients needs and existing conditions

  • landscape design - privacy, pathways, patios, plantings

After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Ecology, I earned a Graduate Certificate in Landscape Design from Radcliffe Seminars of Harvard University.

As an avid naturalist and visual artist, my life’s work is about highlighting the health and beauty of our surroundings.

I love introducing interesting plants to encourage appreciation of diversity, designing with native trees, shrubs and perennials whenever possible. Native plants have a choice role in creating ecologically stable environments and developing resilience to the challenges of climate change and other environmental disruptions.
